Boys Team Try Outs (Training Camp)
Eligibility:
Anyone who is physically capable, meets the minimum WIAA academic and age requirements and complies with all other WIAA rules governing sports participation can try out for the Arrowhead High School Ice hockey team. All players intending to tryout must have a current physical and brown card on file in the Athletic office.

Dates and times:
The boys team tryout will be held beginning of November at the Mullett Ice Center. The teams will be selected after tryouts and posted at the rink.

Equipment:
All athletes participating in the tryouts are responsible for having the own equipment including helmet, sticks, mouth guard, sharpened skates, protective gear, a jersey without a number or number is not visible when jersey is worn inside out, and pants,

Check-in:
All athletes participating in Training Camp are required to check-in at the table in the Mullett Lobby prior to getting dressed. Players will be issued a numbered pinnie to wear during tryouts. Pinnies must be returned at the end of each ice session.

Expectations of athletes who are trying out:
The expectations of players during tryouts are no different than during the regular season. Players should review them closely (see Expectations of Players) to ensure they understand and adhere to them.

Uniforms:
Game jerseys, game socks, and practice jerseys, will be issued immediately following team selections. All players will retain the same number throughout their High School playing career. Any player that needs to replace worn or lost equipment should contact the Spirit wear Chairperson.

Spirit Wear:
Players must have been issued a number prior to being able to pick-up their warm ups and team hockey bag.

Athletes not selected for a team:
Any Player not selected for the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams should contact the Arrowhead Youth Hockey Association (AYHA) for opportunities on the Bantam or Midget teams. During the season, injuries to JV or Varsity players may result in players from one of the teams being moved up during the season.

Fall sports / injury exceptions:
Athletes unable to participate in the scheduled tryouts as a result of conflicts with fall sports playoff or because they are recovering from an injury will be given a tryout at a time and place determined by the coaching staff. Any player anticipating not being available for the scheduled tryout dates should inform and make arrangements with the coaches prior to the start of tryouts.
