Program Information

Arrowhead Boys Ice Hockey

The Boys Ice Hockey season begins with tryouts in early November immediately after the Pre-Season Conditioning program, followed by daily practices and games beginning shortly thereafter. The Varsity team practices each weekday afternoon during the season and the Junior Varsity generally practices each morning. The shooters room is available to players during normal Ice Center hours.

The Varsity and Junior Varsity teams each carry 18-21 boys and play the maximum 22 game regular season. Both teams compete in the Classic 8 Conference and fill out their schedule with Non-Conference games to provide one of the strongest schedules in the state. The season ends in early March with the State Championship. The maximum number of participants for each WIAA tournament game is 20 players in full uniform.

Arrowhead Girls Ice Hockey

The Girls Ice Hockey fields a Varsity team. A JV Team is created at the discretion of the Head Coach each year if the number of players trying out warrants a JV Team. The Varsity team carries 16-20 girls and is a Co-op Team comprised of players from Arrowhead Union High School, Hamilton High School, Oconomowoc High School, and Kettle Moraine High School. The Girls team belongs to the very competitive Eastern Shores conference. This conference includes long time rivals University School of Milwaukee and the Brookfield Glaciers. The team usually travels to two out of town tournaments per year, and hosts the now-traditional annual Turkey Tournament at the Mullett Ice Center on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving Day.

The Pre-Season Conditioning program for all players is in October, and tryouts take place in early November.

The Girls Team practices each weekday afternoon during the season, and the shooters room is available to players during normal Mullett Ice Center hours.

The season culminates in the WIAA State Tournament in early March.
